Adventures In Bridge Special Events

 

 

Friday night's game, tonight, will be a Club Championship.  Please bring a
pot luck dish or beverage to share and you receive $2 off your entry. Please
plan on attending for good bridge and to meet new friends.

 

Saturday, February 19th, we have three games. Our 10:00 AM game is our
Non-Life Master game with a lesson on special doubles. At Noon is our
Stratified Open Barometer game. We are having a special Open Stratified game
at 2:00 PM. This special game is the Mary Crawford Memorial & Charity game,
honoring Mike Crawford's wife, who just passed away of breast cancer.  The
Memorial Service is at 11:00 AM on Saturday prior to the game, at Villa
Monserate Park on Robusto Road in Tierrasanta. 

 

Sunday, February 20th at 1:00 PM is the San Diego Unit's Flight C Grand
National Teams Qualifying Game (Two Sessions - Overalls pay Gold Points). In
addition to the team game, we will have a Unit Game starting at 1:00, also.
There is a free brunch at 12:15. Please call Bert at (619) 222-4302 if you
need a partner or teammates.

 

Monday, February 21st is our Monday Winners Game and President's Day BBQ. We
will have a free lunch at 11:30 AM with our game starting at Noon. The
overall winners of the Open Flight and the overall winners of the Non-Life
Master flight play free for the rest of the week. 

 

Monday night is our Mentor/Mentee night. We have recruited more mentors, so
we're accepting additional Non-Life Masters who would like to learn more
about their game, at a great price! Game time is 7:00 PM every Monday night.
This game is also Open to everyone.

 

We are starting a 10:30 AM Non-Life Master game every Wednesday, starting on
Wednesday, February 23rd. This game is in addition to our 10:30 AM Open
game. To honor this event, we will have a free brunch starting at 10:00 AM.
This is a free brunch for all those attending both games. Through the end of
March, the entry fee for the Non-Life Master game will be only $5. 

 

Our Open Game on Wednesday, February 23rd at 10:00 AM is an Intra Club
Championship game, with the same hands being played by several clubs
throughout the United States. There will be extra MP's awarded. Wednesday
Nights Non-Life master game and our Master's game (Flights A & B) will be
Club Championship games awarding extra MP's for all winners.

 

Our February Birthday/Awards party is Saturday, February 26th at 6:30 PM. A
free dinner is at 5:30 PM. If you have a birthday in February, you play for
FREE. Also, all new Life Masters and those winning awards will play for
FREE. Please plan on attending this fun bridge game.

 

We have Non-Life Master games every Sunday at 1:00 PM at Adventures In
Bridge. Sunday, February 20th is our Grand National Swiss Teams qualifying
game at 1:00 PM. Sunday, February 27th is our Club Championship Pairs game.
Both games award extra MP's for the overall winners. The Swiss Team game
will award Gold Points for the overall winners in the two session games.

 

We've been awarded another Non-Life Master Sectional. On Saturday, April
30th and Sunday, May 1st, the San Diego Unit will be sponsoring another
Silver Point Sectional at Adventures In Bridge. We will have two sessions of
pairs games for Non-Life Masters at 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM on Saturday. On
Sunday, we will have two sessions of Swiss team games at 10:00 AM and 2:30
PM. All events will award Sectional-Rated Silver Master Points. 

 

Adventures In Bridge will host the Annual San Diego Unit Sectional, Friday,
March 4th, Saturday, March 5th & Sunday March 6th.
