Adventures In Bridge Activities

 

 

Congratulations to Mike Crawford and Roger Doughman who won our First
Anniversary Master's Party game, worth 6.17 MP's. Josephine & Jim Willis won
the Non-Life Master Pairs event, worth 2.43 MP's. The MP's are big because
we typically have close to 30 tables on Wednesday nights, and that doesn't
include the four tables of students in beginning bridge! Every Wednesday
earns the overall winners extra MP's, with every section playing the same
hands. Wednesday, February 16th is a Grand National Team Qualifying Swiss
Teams game. Get your teams together! Non-Life Masters play in a two separate
sections, with Flights A & B playing in their own separate section. Everyone
plays the same hands, which make interesting post-mortems afterwards.

 

Please join us Sunday, February 6th at 1:00 PM for a pre-Super Bowl Bridge
party. We will have a Unit Championship game at 1:00 and also a 299er game.
There is a free brunch at 12:15. Please call Bert at (619) 222-4302 if you
need a partner or teammates.

 

Monday night is our Mentor/Mentee night. We have recruited more mentors, so
we're accepting additional Non-Life Masters who would like to learn more
about their game, at a great price! Game time is 7:00 PM every Monday night.
This game is also Open to everyone.

 

Monday games at Noon are our Winners' games. The pair winning the Open event
and the pair winning the Non-Life Master event play for free the rest of the
week. 

 

Our annual 299er Sectional is at the club on February 12th and 13th. Silver
points will be awarded. Sunday, February 20th is the Non-Life Master Unit
Grand National Teams Qualifying games. This is a two-session event and will
award Gold Points to the winners. 

 

Tuesday, February 15th is our Pot Luck Day. All three games, 10:00 AM 299er,
Noon Open Stratified and Noon Refresher Bridge games  will have a Pot Luck
Food Festival Day. Bring a dish to share with others in the club.

 

Sunday, February 20th at 1:00 PM is the San Diego Unit's Flight C Grand
National Teams Qualifying Game (Two Sessions - Overalls pay Gold Points). In
addition to the team game, we will have a Unit Game starting at 1:00, also.
There is a free brunch at 12:15. Please call Bert at (619) 222-4302 if you
need a partner or teammates.

 

Our February Birthday/Awards party is Saturday, February 26th at 6:30 PM.
Those with birthdays in February play for FREE!

 

Inter Club Championship games in February are Tuesday, Feb 8th at Noon and
Wednesday, Feb 23rd at 10:30 AM.

 

Monday, February 28 is an ACBL Seniors Game, with extra MP's awarded for
this International ACBL event. Winners will get their names in the Daily
Bulletin and ACBL website.
