New Year's Weekend at Adventures In Bridge

 

 

Everyone at Adventures wishes you and your loved ones a safe and Happy New
Year's Weekend! We will have several out-of-town travelers visiting our club
this weekend, so let's give them a great San Diego welcome. 

 

 

Friday, December 31st is our annual New Years Eve Celebration. Games are at
1:00 PM and 6:30 PM with Food and Drink between sessions. Extra MP's are
awarded for both games, and those pairs wishing to play in both events, will
get extra MP's for the two session overalls. $8 per person, per session or
$13 for both sessions. There will be champagne, party favors, food and
wonderful cards; We guarantee it! Please join us for one, or both sessions.
There will be a separate Non-Life Master Section for the evening game.
Please be reminded that game times are at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM, Friday, Dec
31.

 

Saturday, January 1st is our New Year's Day Barometer game. The Non-Life
Master Barometer game starts at 10:00 AM and the Open Stratified Barometer
game starts at Noon. A free lunch is at 11:30. There will be extra
masterpoints (about 5 MP's to the first place pair in the Open event)
awarded to the winners.

 

Sunday, January 2nd at 1:00 PM is the San Diego Unit's New Year's
Championship game. There is a free brunch at 12:15 and separate Non-Life
Master game at 1:00 PM. 

 

Monday, January 3rd at Noon is our first Inter Club Championship game. About
500 pairs will be playing the same hands, and extra masterpoints awarded to
the winners. Please join us at Noon.

 

Wednesday, January 5th begins our New Year's Wednesday Night Extra
Masterpoint games. Winners in the Flight A & B events (7:00 PM) will win
about 5 MP's and the winners in the Non-Life Master game (6:45 PM) will win
about 2 MP's each. Please join us for a fun evening of bridge, and meet new
friends. Also, we have a Beginning Bridge Class at 7:00 PM, so please invite
your friends to learn bridge on Wednesday evenings while you play.

 

Our January Birthday/Awards party is Saturday, January 15th at 6:30 PM. The
free dinner is at 5:30 PM.  Those with January Birthdays play for Free!
Chicken dinner is served at 5:30 PM with the game starting at 6:30 PM. This
game is open to everyone!
