STAC (Silver Points) Week at Adventures In Bridge

 

Everyone at Adventures wishes you and your loved ones a safe and Happy
Holiday Season! We will have several out-of-town travelers visiting our club
this month, so let's give them a great San Diego welcome. 

 

STAC Madness begins today, Monday, December 6th and continues through
Sunday, December 12th. All our games will award Sectional-Rated Silver
Points. Please see the schedule at
http://www.adventuresinbridge.com/stacdec.pdf . There will be two additional
special 299er Silver Point games on Thursday, December 9th at 7:00 PM and
Sunday, December 12th at 1:00 PM. Also, we have two additional stratified
night games on Tues at 7:00 PM and on Saturday at 6:30 PM.

 

Pro-Am Games are on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM. Tonight will also be a STAC
game, open to all. Adventures In Bridge is signing up new Mentors and
Mentees for inclusion in this program. Please sign-up or call the club,
619-287-8313, to offer assistance to newer bridge players, or to get free
advice from more experienced bridge players. Teachers play for free and
mentees pay $12. This will be a win/win for everyone. These games are also
open to any pair wishing to play.

 

Saturday, December 11th at 6:30 PM is our December Awards/Birthday
celebration with a STAC Pairs Game (lots of MP's awarded). November Award
winners and those with December Birthdays play for $1! (STAC Sanction Fee)
Chicken dinner is served at 5:30 PM with the game starting at 6:30 PM. This
game is open to everyone, and is a STAC Silver Point game.

 

Sunday, December 19th at 1:00 PM is the San Diego Unit's Reindeer Day game.

Wednesday, December 29th is a Club Championship all day long. The 10:30 AM
game will be hosted by two special people who have Birthdays that day. There
will be sandwiches and birthday cake for the morning game!

 

Friday, December 31st is our annual New Years Eve Celebration. Games are at
1:00 PM and 6:30 PM with Food and Drink between sessions. Extra MP's are
awarded for both games, and those pairs wishing to play in both events, will
get extra MP's for the two session overalls. $8 per person, per session or

Saturday, January 1st is our New Year's Day Barometer game. Game time is at
Noon, with a free lunch at 11:30. The Non-Life Master game starts at 10:00
and will also be a Barometer game. Please join us for our first game of
2005!

 

Sunday, January 2nd at 1:00 is the San Diego Unit Championship game.
Hospitality starts at 12:15.

 

Saturday, January 15th at 6:30 PM is our January Awards/Birthday celebration
with a Club Championship Pairs Game (lots of MP's awarded). December Award
winners and those with January Birthdays play for Free! The Chicken dinner
is served at 5:30 PM with the game starting at 6:30 PM. This game is open to
everyone!

 

Sunday, January 16th at 1:00 PM is San Diego Unit's Annual Board-A-Match
team game. This is a team game, played as matchpoints. If you need a team,
please sign-up at the club, or we'll find a team for you on Sunday.

 

Monday, January 17th is our Martin Luther King Day BBQ. Free BBQ at 11:30
with a Club Championship game at Noon!
