Thanksgiving Weekend at Adventures In Bridge

 

 

Everyone at Adventures wishes you and your loved ones a safe and Happy
Thanksgiving Weekend! We will have several out-of-town travelers visiting
our club this weekend, so let's give them a great San Diego welcome. We have
our Thanksgiving Day game at 1:00 PM on Thursday. Friday at Noon will be a
Club Championship with our Wine & Cheese Social gathering at 7:00 PM (Wirt
will be directing both those games.) Our November Awards/Birthday party game
is Saturday, at 6:30 PM, with dinner at 5:30. There's a Barometer game
Saturday at Noon and a Non-Life Master game at 10:00 AM, with lunch at 11:30
AM. Looking further ahead, we will have a Special Christmas Eve Bridge Party
on Friday, December 24th. Entry fees for the Noon game and 7:00 Wine &
Cheese game will be FREE. All bridge is free that day as our special
Christmas gift to you, the best partners in the world! Friday, Dec 31st is
our annual New Year's Eve extravaganza, with games at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM,
and food and drink between sessions. Again, thanks for making our club truly
a great place to play bridge!

 

Thanks for making Monday afternoon such a pleasant game, with a great mix of
both Non-Life Masters and Life Masters. As a way of expressing our
gratitude, at every Monday Noon game, starting Monday, Nov 29th, the lucky
pair, winning the overall award in the Open competition and the lucky pair
winning the overall award in the Non-Life Master competition, will get to
play free (at all Adventure's games) the rest of the week.

 

Today, Wednesday, we have a 10:30 AM Club Championship. Tonight, we have a
6:45 PM Non-Life Master Club Championship and 7:00 PM Masters (Flights A &
B) Club Championship.

 

Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25th at 1:00 PM will be a Club
Championship Pot Luck Thanksgiving Day game. Please bring a dish to share.
The club will serve Turkey and Ham.

Saturday, November 27th at Noon is a Barometer Game.  Non-Life Master game
with a lesson at 10:00 AM.

 

Saturday, November 27th at 6:30 PM is our November Awards/Birthday
celebration with a Club Championship Pairs Game (lots of MP's awarded).
October Award winners and those with November Birthdays play for Free!
Chicken dinner is served at 5:30 PM with the game starting at 6:30 PM. This

Pro-Am Games are on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM. Our next game is Monday, Nov
22nd at 7:00 PM. Adventures In Bridge is signing up new Mentors and Mentees
for inclusion in this program. Please sign-up or call the club,
619-287-8313, to offer assistance to newer bridge players, or to get free
advice from more experienced bridge players. Teachers play for free and
mentees pay $12. This will be a win/win for everyone. These games are also
open to any pair wishing to play.

 

STAC Madness begins on Monday, December 6th and continues through Sunday,
December 12th. All our games will award Sectional-Rated Silver Points.

There will be two additional special 299er Silver Point games on Thursday,
December 9th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, December 12th at 1:00 PM.

 

Saturday, December 11th at 6:30 PM is our December Awards/Birthday

Sanction Fee) Chicken dinner is served at 5:30 PM with the game starting at
6:30 PM. This game is open to everyone, and is a STAC Silver Point game.

 

Sunday, December 19th at 1:00 PM is the San Diego Unit's Reindeer Day game.

Wednesday, December 29th is a Club Championship all day long. The 10:30 AM
game will be hosted by two special people who have Birthdays that day. There
will be sandwiches and birthday cake for the morning game!

 

Friday, December 31st is our annual New Years Eve Celebration. Games are at
1:00 PM and 6:30 PM with Food and Drink between sessions. Extra MP's are
awarded for both games, and those pairs wishing to play in both events, will
get extra MP's for the two session overalls. $8 per person, per session or
$13 for both sessions.
