Hi Bridge Players,

 

Tonight, Wed, both games, Non-Life Masters and Flights A & B, are playing a
Club Appreciation Pairs game. Lots of MP's are awarded to the overall
winners for Club Appreciation games this month.

 

Thursday afternoon, the Coufal Pairs, there is a Club Appreciation game.
(Anytime a pair wins an event three weeks in a row, the event will be named
after them until someone else wins it three times in a row.)

 

Friday, October 8th, at Noon, is a Club Appreciation Swiss Teams event.
Please get your teams together. Awards will be part Gold and Black MP's.  If
you don't have a team, we will find one for you, so come on down.

 

Friday Night at 7:00 PM is our Wine & Cheese Social Night Club Appreciation
Game. Please bring a potluck dish, play some exciting bridge and meet a new
friend!

            

Saturday, October 9th at Noon is a Club Appreciation Pairs Barometer Game.
Everyone plays the same hand at the same time during a Barometer Game, and
the results have each round are posted, so you will always know where you
stand with the rest of the players. 

 

Monday, October 11th at Noon is a Club Appreciation Pairs Barometer Game. 

 

Wednesday, Oct 13th is a Club Appreciation pairs game, two-session event, so
play in either the morning or evening session, and get overall awards in
each, or play in both and get even more MP's if you finish in the overalls
for both sessions! The morning session is a Inter Club Championship and the
evening session is a Club Appreciation Pairs Game. 

 

Sunday, October 17th at 1:00 PM is the District-Wide Charity Pairs Game.
Since 1964, the ACBL Charity Foundation has made substantial contributions
to a wide range of charitable organizations. The charity for this game is
the Alzheimer's Association. Hand analyses and a substantial number of MP's
are available for this special, district-wide game. Please attend. Entry fee
is $7.50.

 

Our first Pro-Am Game is on Monday, Oct 18th at 7:00 PM. Adventures In
Bridge is signing up Mentors and Mentees for our Fall Mentor Program. Please
sign-up to offer assistance to newer bridge players, or to get free advice
from more experience bridge players.  

 

Saturday, October 24th at 6:30 is our October Awards/Birthday party.

 

Saturday, October 30th at Noon & 6:30 PM is our annual Halloween Costume
Party Game. Come to each session, or both (overalls for those attending both
sessions) and enjoy a fantastic Halloween Bridge party, all day long!

 

Bridge Lessons!

 

EasyBridge (teaching bridge to brand new players) starts Mon, Nov 1 at Noon
and 7:00 PM; and Wed at 7:00 PM. Please tell your friends and help us
distribute flyers in your neighborhood, so we can bring a lot of newer
players into our great game. We really need your help to spread these flyers
around San Diego County. We have 5,000 flyers at the club for you to pick up
and distribute.

 

Advanced Beginner Lessons - Defense and Play of the Hand, will start on
Thursday Night, Nov 4th and Monday morning, Nov 1 at 9:30.

 

Intermediate Lessons start Tuesday, Nov 2 at 7:00 PM and Wed, Nov 3 at 9:30.
